A simple to print and detailed model of a small 1980's sailboat

The “Oceaan 18" was made by K+S Polyboats in the netherlands. It's a small, sporty sailboat with a cabin big enough for 3 people. It's an inland vessel and not made for rough sea. There are two bigger versions: the "Oceaan 22" (6,85m/22ft) and the "Oceaan 25" (7.5m/24ft).

This model has a scale of about 1:26. It is designed completely from scratch specifically for 3D printing. Some small details may differ from the real boats to make it better printable.

Print time ~ 14h

Facts of the real model:

Length overall: 5.50m (18ft)

Width: 2.10m (6ft)

Height above water: 8,90m (29ft)

Depth below water: 1m (3ft)

Assembly:

  1. Print all parts using the provided g-code or the .stl files
    1. I recommend adaptive layers
    2. The .stl files are already correct oriented
  2. Sanding, filling, painting (Optional)
  3. Glue all details according to the Detail-Plan*
  4. Tie all ropes according to the rope plan*
  5. The centreboard has two holes to connect it with the hull. Cut down two Toothpicks to 1,5cm length and (maybe sand them down to a width of 2mm) to connect the two parts.

Feel free to upload makes or write comments. This isn't the finished version from the model. There are some improvements planned (new parts, more detail, added sails).

*Use your imagination and make your boat unique!
