~---:::(WORK IN PROGRESS):::---~

I started this project in the middle of purging E-waste and metal scrap out of my shop area. I found three slot 1 motherboards, 7 pentium ⅔ processors, memory, water cooling gear, power supply, and an Ender 3 hulk that got exploded by the power supply failing and going to 78 Vdc.

So naturally I made an exoskeleton PC with water cooling.

Update 1: Added angled bracket for a 120mm fan to point at the front side bus and graphics card for additional cooling.

--::Rough explanation and directions::--

For a basic air cooled build you will only need:

  • One derelict Ender3 aluminum profile frame.
  • 8mm and 12mm m3 / m4 bolts
  • 20 series T-nuts for m3 / m4
  • 3x Atx struts (top/middle/bottom), they align to ATX standard holes and there is a slot for expansion card brackets in the middle strut.
  • Six through hole spacers to go between the motherboard and the struts.
  • Power supply bracket
  • Expansion card supports as needed. There are two versions, Low and High profile. The high profile is needed for a card using VGA hd15 connectors, everything else works with the LowPro version

For a water cooled build add the rest. I will add pictures and more models as the project develops.
