The B4 Lens Mount is a historic videography lens mount format known for its weird characteristics, like its built-in chromatic aberration correction. Conveniently for 3D printer owners, the B4's flange depth is slightly longer than that of Nikon's F mount, meaning a low-profile adapter is possible. This page contains the sum of work across 10 iterations: a simple, quick & easy print that allows you to use even the largest B4 lenses on any F-mount camera body.

When printing this model, be sure to keep the following things in mind:

  • Nozzles above 0.6mm will not work. A fragile wall along the part of the model enters the F mount, and it is too tiny for nozzles above 0.6mm to print.
  • SLA printing is recommended, but FDM can also work. Make sure to use snug supports and paint on supports to the groove where the B mount's screw intersects the F mount body. A 3MF project file for PrusaSlicer is included with this support.
  • B4 lenses trend on the heavy side. Depending on the material and lens you use, your camera body might be unable to support the lens without breaking the adapter. However, your lens can support the body's weight for most camera bodies. This works well if you have a lens with a servo module on the side, giving you a convenient place to hold the lens.

If you like this model and had fun shooting with your Canon/Fujinon/Nikon monstrosity, please consider posting your make, checking out my other work, or sending me a tip. Cheers!
