This version sacrifices a little bit of strength in an already under-built part to have a cutout so the wire can pass through when assembling rather than having to de-solder the wires to get it out. Removing the original piece requires cutting the plastic to let the wire out, but it's already broken, so why not break it some more? I did mine with a file and some flush cuts. Once this version is installed, if it ever breaks again, it's much simpler to replace.
I was working on my own model of this piece when I found it had already been made, so I remixed it for now. I would still like to model my own version in the future just for fun.
