In my opinion, Enely has designed the best bicycles for model railways that I have found so far:
https://www.printables.com/model/19491-womens-bike-h0-scale
https://www.printables.com/model/30893-bike-in-h0-scale
Their design is made for H0. After I found out how to reliably print them in N-scale, I had to learn that this was only half the battle. They are then so small and delicate that it is practically impossible to paint them without breaking them. So, I needed the bicycles printed with handles so that I could paint them.
But publishing this alone as a remix would be far too cheap. Therefore, I designed some people riding/pushing the bikes to make my contribution to Enely's design that will hopefully sufficiently respect her work. There are also racing bike (be aware, the Racing Man/Woman only go with the racing bike, not with the other ones) and a cargo bike now.
For the young couple with her on the luggage rack, you must cut off the saddle.
To set up the scenes, the easiest way is to drill holes and leave the top part of the holder on the bike for gluing it into these holes. This is even much easier for the couple pushing their bikes, although theoretically it should stand on three points. Better to add peoples to the bikes before putting them into the holes (except for the pushing man/woman). A made a template for drilling the holes for different model railway scales.
I hope you enjoy this addition and find a use for it on your layout or diorama. If so, please give Enely a like. Without her work, this remix would not exist.
Model sized for n-scale (1:160). Conversion values:
Japanese N-scale, 1:150 -> 106%
British N-scale, 1:148 -> 108%
TT-gauge, 1:120 -> 133%
for larger scales you may consider download of bikes from Enely original design:
HO/H0-gauge, 1:87 -> 184%
OO/00-gauge, 1:76 -> 211%
S-gauge, 1:64 -> 250%
O-gauge, 1:48 -> 333%
PS:
Designs are made for Resin-printing. Especially in n scale the bicycles are at the limit of what is printable. I printed them with an Elegoo Mars 2P as well as Mars 4 and different resins (SUNLU Standard, Jayo ABS-like and ResinOne G217. You don’t need any special resin or printer, but your combination printer and resin should be carefully calibrated and tested, before printing the bikes.
