Why

I needed a case for my keeb, and available models didn't fit the PCB, screw holes and cutouts (trust me, I tried). So obviously I needed to design my own.

This case fits the Sofle Choc v3 sold by 42keebs.

What

This model comes with

  • rounded and square corners to bring the best of both worlds and a sleek design
  • an easy-to-swap mounting mechanism for a tilt attachment
(uses two M3x8 SHCS, and two heatset inserts)
    • it raises the inner side of the mount by 2.5 cm. If you need a different height, reach out.
  • cutouts for the USB jack, TRRS jack, power switch, and cables to the battery
  • screw holes and supports for the PCB
  • a raised cover for the OLED and PCB

The tilting part has a cutout for sticking a LiPo battery underneath the mount.

Make it

Copy and mirror the parts. You likely want to use both halves of your keeb.

Printed in 2 hours with ABS, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill, 150 grams of filament (incl. supports).

Print all parts with the flat side down. The tilting parts needs supports as shown in the screenshot.

Painting the seams manually helped make it look a lot nicer - most of the seams can be hidden inside the case.
