Andrew-Barclay Tank Engine Kit

It's a little toy tank engine! No glue or screws either, it just snaps together! (Also, this is a toy, not scale!)

Description

It's just a not-scale Andrew-Barclay 0-4-0. Nothing more to say other than what was up there.

Want some rolling stock? Here A 7-plank truck!

For use on wooden railway track, scale it 133.7%

Update Jan 14, 2025: Redid all the files to fix numerous errors, (Upside-down couplers, too-thin chassis plate, funnel bores not lining up) and make the clips symmetrical.

Update Jan 17, 2025: Added 3-Color .OBJ for multi-color printers

Update Jan 30, 2025: New more secure coupling design installed after discovering old couplings were prone to detaching.

|| BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS ||

The included photos are REALLY useful!

  1. Take a clip, and insert it into the back of the cab, (Square windows) and the other end into the body.  (Tanks, dome, etc.)
  2. Take two clips, and thread the one end though the running board (Boxes) middle plate (pistons/cylinders) and bottom plate, (Text side down) in that order. (Use images for reference) This will be quite loose! Don't worry, we'll fix that.
  3. Attach the body onto the lower/chassis block, ensuring the clips are aligned. (The cab goes over the centered block on the running board) Again, use the images to help!
  4. Take the funnel and push it into its slot. Depending on your tolerances, this might take a little sanding or glue.
  5. Snap on the wheels, and you're done! Enjoy your little tank engine :)

(Yes, it has knuckle couplers. Yes it should be chains, but it's a toy)
