This is the third model of my goal to make 3D Printed french cleat mounts for all of my power tools in the garage. This makes use of the mounting point on the bottom of the leaf blower to create a secure mounting point to the french cleat wall. I kept the fit a little loose as it was a pain to access the leaf blower with a perfect fit. Now it hangs well and it easy to remove.

There is a small cut on the point of the french cleat surface for 2 reasons; to make it easier to print, and to stop the mount from sitting incorrectly should dust or debris build up in the french cleat wall.

My french cleat wall consists of ¾" plywood cut at a 45 degree angle, yours may vary. If you need me to modify some measurements to accomodate something different I'm happy to do so, just send me a message.

My Print settings:

  • PETG (any type will work, but I recommend PETG if it's going in your garage)
  • 0.2 layer height (0.4mm nozzle)
  • Supports on build plate. Some slicers add supports to the vertical beams in the side of the model but those shouldn't be necessary on most printers.
  • Speeds, temps, brim etc depend on your printer and filament.
