This is the second model of my goal to make 3D Printed french cleat mounts for all of my power tools in the garage. This mount holds the grooves near where the blades attach. Mounting it in this way keeps the weight close to the wall and provides a sturdy, but easy to access design.

There is a small cut on the point of the french cleat surface for 2 reasons; to make it easier to print, and to stop the mount from sitting incorrectly should dust or debris build up in the french cleat wall.

My french cleat wall consists of ¾" plywood cut at a 45 degree angle, yours may vary. If you need me to modify some measurements to accomodate something different I'm happy to do so, just send me a message.

My Print settings:

  • PETG (any type will work, but I recommend PETG if it's going in your garage)
  • 0.2 layer height (0.4mm nozzle)
  • Supports on build plate (some slicers will want to support the vertical beams but it's not necessary.
  • Speeds, temps, brim etc depend on your printer and filament.
