This dog poop bag dispenser will hold the rolls of Amazon-branded bags that they sell in bulk.
There are a handful of features that are, in my opinion, an improvement on the standard dispensers that often come with the bulk bags:
- The slot has a small slit that extends to the main opening so that you can unroll the roll slightly before you slot it in. This prevents you from having to struggle with fishing the first bag out of the slot with your finger.
- The dispenser is designed to attach to your leash horizontally with two zip ties. Put one zip tie in the handle loop and the other on the lead. This will cause the dispenser to hang in parallel to the leash rather than swing all over the place and smash against things.
- The lid doesn't screw on with regular metric threads, it twists only a few degrees and snaps open and closed with a satisfying click so that you know its on.
- There is a small mount for a keychain light powered by coin batteries and an LED. I got a bunch cheap from Amazon. When you snap it into place from the side, it'll point down the leash at your dog so that you always have a light available on those nights your dog wants to run out the door.
This is still a work in progress; I have a few other improvements to develop yet, but it's working well on my leash right now. I'd say that my dog loves it, but he doesn't really care.
