By curiosity I’ve conducted strength tests to evaluate maximum torque and tensile strength,

I've tested M10 bolt.

  • Bolt 1 (4 walls, 30% infill):
    • Maximum torque: 2,1 Nm
    • Tensile strength: ~49 kg
  • Bolt 2 (100% infill):
    • Maximum torque: 3,5 Nm
    • Tensile strength: not tested
  • Bolt 3 with 4mm wood screw (4 walls, 30% infill):
    • Maximum torque: 4,7 Nm
    • Tensile strength: over 100 kg (test limited by a 100 kg scale; bolt remained intact)

Note: These bolts, of course, can also be used without reinforcement screws.

These bolts have been calibrated for my Qidi Q1 Pro 3D printer. All sizes thread onto a steel nut with minimal resistance, ensuring a reliable fit.

If you experience any issues with fitment, I recommend slightly scaling the model in the X and Y axes while keeping the Z axis unchanged. This adjustment should help adapt the model to your printer's tolerances.

Printing Parameters:

Each bolt size has been optimized for the best balance of strength and print quality:

  • M6: 
    • Walls: 3 - 3mm reinforcing screw)
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.08 mm
  • M8: 
    • Walls: 4 - 3 and 3,5 and 4 mm reinforcing screw
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.1 mm
  • M10: 
    • Walls: 4 - 3 and 3,5 and 4 and 5mm reinforcing screw
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.12 mm
  • M12: 
    • Walls: 4 - 4 and 5mm reinforcing screw
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.16 mm
  • M14: 
    • Walls: 5 - 4 and 5mm reinforcing screw
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.16 mm
  • M16: 
    • Walls: 6 - 4mm reinforcing screw
    • Walls: 5 - 5mm reinforcing screw
    • Infill: minimum 30%
    • Layer height: 0.16 mm
