Intelligent Mugholder for FESTOOL MFT 3

This mugholder will automatically close its lid, once you put your coffeemug on it to prevent letting any kind of chips and other scraps fall into your brewery.

It works with a counterweight to lift the lid again when you grab the mug again.

The shown mug measures 95mm in height and 80mm in diameter and the rope for the counterweight is a standard 2mm rope for masonry. The counterweight itself weights around 550g to work just fine for me but you can easily test the best counterforce yourself by using a bottle and water.

Since your drinks are most probably pretty hot I recommend a therefore heatresistant material i.e. ABS.

The installation might be a bit tricky, but the best way I figured out is to put all parts for the lidmechanism together and slide it as a whole into the mount. I also put a cutview of the assembled model in the pictures so you can see how the teeth need to engage into each other. The Lid- and Gearbearings need to be glued into the mount then, but BE CAREFUL TO NOT GLUE THE GEARS AND RACKS TOGETHER!
