Design and instructions for the poles for the reef field element for FRC 2025 ReefScape competition. As you may know all the websites that sell the elements are sold out. We thought that PCV would be a bit flimsy so went with 1.5" solid wood rod and 2 reef poles can be cut from a 1.5"x8' closet rod, about $30 ea at the Depot for oak. Connectors, sleeves and flanges are 3d printed. The sleeves correct the OD for the actual field of 1.66". Measurements for the rod lengths are in the step file for the complete model. If your team want's the F3d file so they can edit the sketches or modify this just ask in the remarks. If you remix it please post!

This will work in PLA but make it strong, 3+ perimeters, 25% infill, large layer height, large nozzle, etc. I recommend a PA6-CF nylon but the team went with PETG/PLA, we are on the fence about using the flanges but they couldn't hurt.

The 3mf files are for PETG on a MK4 with .6 Nozzle.

Print the following.

4 x Connector Bottom
4 x Connector Top
2 x Sleeve Top
4 x Sleeve Pole
4 x Sleeve Mid
4 x Flange

Hardware,

The holes on the connectors are ¼ and you can use through bolts or screw in from each side. We are still printing the parts but I think we will be using through bolts.
