NODO - MagSafe Holder Clamp for Desk Shelf - Multiple shelf thicknesses and viewing angles!

This stylish mount is compatible with original Apple MagSafe chargers. We call it NODO.

Attach it securely to your desk shelf or monitor riser stand so you can keep your iPhone conveniently close while improving your desk organization. Visualize your phone screen vertically, or turn it sideways to enable StandBy mode.

Assembly (this is illustrated in the included PDF guide)

1. Insert the screw into the clamp. For the first insertion, the screw might be tighter to turn but should loosen up once you have inserted it, so it becomes easy to adjust.
2. Press the center of the thrust pad against a hard surface. This should break loose the outer ring from the center part.
3. Insert the thrust pad on the tip of the screw. It will snap in position securely.
4. Slice the clamp and screw assembly on the back of the holder. 
5. Place the MagSafe charger on the Holder. Route the USB-C cable through the dedicated opening on the holder and clamp. Once you insert the strain relief rubber part of the cable, apply some pressure on the MagSafe to lock it in place. You can remove it by pressing through the opening on the back of the holder.
6. Insert the lock on the back of the assembly, to prevent the holder from sliding off the clamp.
7. Finally, you can snap the cover or accent color into place.

You can now install your MagSafe on any desk shelf between 6 and 40 mm thick (according to the version of the clamp you printed).

Printing instructions

We recommend printing at 0.2 mm layer height, with a 0.4 or 0.6 mm nozzle.

All parts can be printed without supports except for the one used to hold the MagSafe charger. There are two versions, one compatible with the new 2024 25W MagSafe charger puck with braided cable, and another one for the 2020 model. Both files are compatible with all the clamp sizes.

About the screw types
 

• Type 1: minimalistic screw
• Type 2: better grip. Requires a knurled cap, which snaps into place at the screw head. Included with the download.

Both types come in short (15 mm thread) and long (25 mm thread) variants.

Optional non-printed parts

• Use 4 round magnets (10 mm diameter by 2 mm thickness) to make the front accent piece attach magnetically to the holder. If you don't use the magnets, there is a version that uses 3D-printed snap-fits to secure the front accent cover ;)
• You can attach felted, rubber, or foam pads to the clamp or thrust pad to improve the grip and avoid scratching delicate surfaces.
• In case the MagSafe puck does not fit tight in the holder, you can place a 25 mm diameter sticker on the dedicated slot in the holder. The adhesive should have a thickness of 1 to 1.1 mm to work. Here are some references from Aliexpress (affiliate links)  Option 1, Option 2.

We haven't needed them for any of the tests we've done, but since 3D printing tolerances vary, we provided the space for using them in case you need to.
