I purchased a basic shopping trolley recently to carry salt as I'm gritting paths around my street. Unforunately, the weight of the salt was too much for the trolley's standard wheels, so they broke pretty quickly.
Combining two designs I found, I created these wheels which are a lot more sturdy and can hold a lot more weight than the originals.
The picture which I threw together in paint shows you what type of trolley wheel fitting this fits.
You will need two (623ZZ) bearings per wheel and two pieces of metal wire (I used the previous wheel's wire to fix the end caps in place)
I printed the end caps in PETG and the wheels in PLA - I'd have printed the wheels in PETG too but the only PETG I have is yellow and I didn't want bright yellow wheels haha.
I used 5 walls with 25% infil, auto tree supports.
I printed the tyres in TPU then left them ontop of my radiator for a few minutes before putting over the wheel. It was easy enough once the TPU was hot and went back to normal once cooled.
These wheels have lasted a few days of hauling a fair weight of salt for salting the paths
