I have designed some T-nut inserts with self-tapping threads. For softer plastics, you should be able to tap the screw directly into the nut. For harder plastics, you may need to use a thread tap.
If you find that the tolerances are too loose or too tight for your printer, you can edit the provided STEP files or use the T-nut without the insert. In this case, you can add your desired size cylindrical modifier directly in your slicer software.
