a low cost way to build a light blocking tube on the 114 hadley telescope
3 rings are included, one with no attachment mechanism, one that simply clips onto an already built hadley, and one that uses the same nut and screw design as the hadley for a secure and permanent construction
use sturdy black construction paper, cut it to 17" long for the circumference, and your desired length, pre-roll it using the rings as a guide, and have a second person tape the tube so it doesnt unroll
affix one ring onto the telescope and insert the tube so it slots into the slot and use a second ring to hold it in place. make sure everything is secure with tape or glue
UPDATE: i added an updated version of the clip on ring to have a deeper slot and V opening to help guide the roll in for easier installation, i recommend using this instead of the other 3
