If you're a CPAP user, you've probably experienced this:
It's been a long day and you're looking forward to a restful night's sleep. Climbing into bed, you fish around for the end of your hose to plug into your mask. Your hand finds the hose, but not the end. The end is caught between the mattress and headboard (again!) You gently tug the hose, hoping to free the end. CRASH! The unit falls to the floor spilling water everywhere. So much for a restful night's sleep…
OR…You're making your bed or changing your sheets. The hose gets caught between the mattress and headboard (again!) Carefully fishing the end out...
These clips help prevent these incidents. They route your CPAP hose so you can avoid these hassles.
The clip fits the hose snugly, but allows the hose to be inserted and removed easily.
The original design was mounted using two of the backer plates included in the model. One backer plate would slide along an alignment dowel and mount at the back of the clip, while a second plate would sandwich the clip between the slats seen in the photos. This didn't work very well.
Rather than redesign the clip, I glued one backer plate to the back of the clip, cut the alignment dowel flush with the plate, and mounted it using double-stick tape. So far, so good. No more accidents or mishaps!
Enjoy!
