Death Racers are like remote-controlled Rock ‘Em Sock ’Em Robots! Drive them around and compete against two or more other racers to try taking off your competitor's head!
The Death Racers were the brainchild of Michael Baddeley and Sam Prentice and have become a reoccurring event at 3d printing gatherings like 3D Printopia, Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival, Midwest RepRap Festival and the Sanjay Mortimer RepRap Festival in England. Historically, the files could be found (and still can be found) on Michael Baddeley's Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/c/mrbaddeley/posts This posting has been done with Mr. B's explicit approval in order to reach an audience that may not want or are unable to use Patreon.
These files have been completely reworked for the start of 2025 and a lot of updates have been made, including a full set of thorough instructions. Check them out here: https://1drv.ms/b/s!Amq-uExqdewAsEwEK_VlajChYDQH
While there is a complete BOM included in the instructions detailing what parts and hardware you'll need to assemble this model, BIGTREETECH also offers a hardware kit found here: https://biqu.equipment/products/btt-functionals-deathracer-kit?srsltid=AfmBOoqdEOrYcgiKN9myY7THDFLK-HZU6v4YkD8NLT5HsjmKOlHAQqik
***NOTE*** There are a couple components as of right now the kits are a little short on. The BOM goes over the differences, but there are a few m3 bolts, 2mmx50mm rods and m3 heat-set inserts the kit is missing and will need to be self-sourced.
***UPDATE 1/30/25*** New DriveWheel and IdlerWheel files have been added to the Patreon and Printables repositories.
Check out Sam Prentice's Discord, YouTube channel, and Facebook group to find out more about Death Racers and where to compete with them!
