PDF

Hi !

I made this to have a power socket on my desk without having to go under the desk plug something on my power strip everytime i need something. Commercially available solution are all multi socket but given it would already be pluged on a power strip, it doesn’t seem like a good idea. There also much more expensive. Instead this block just goes around the socket of a cheap and short extension cord. and hold it neatly on the desk.

Dimension

This is designed for a round plug with a diameter diameter 48mm. with a rim of 27mm. The socket hole itself is 100mm deep and 45mm in diameter so that should be enough clearance for most socket. The cube is 90mm on all side. See the last pic for reference

I've included fusion source file so you can change the parameter to fit your plug.

Print Instruction

If you printer support 45 degree overhand, i would recommand printing with the main face down. I have bed adhesion issue so i used a brim but i would recommand against it. I used ABS but i see no reason why it wouldn't work with PLA. It took about 10h to print on my Ender 5 plus.

To assemble, just pass the cable in the slot at the bottom and pull until the socket fit in the hole.

Finale note

Feel free to remix or adapt to your need.
