I got lots of binding on the original gears for the Mk6 recreator, even without a strip in the machine. So I thought a set of herringbone gears would help keep them from rubbing on each other and binding up. They are based on the stock gears' original profile but extruded from either end towards a center plane that is rotated at a 22.5-degree angle.
You should print them with the same settings as the stock gears. More walls are better I think?
Refer to the pictures for proper gear orientation. If gears are mounted in the wrong order they will not spin correctly. Numbers have been added to dual gears one and two since the print of the blue set of gears to aid in installation.
