Don't know if a 4mm wall will be too thick or a 1mm section too thin? I made this little fold-out swatch because, while modeling, I had no real-world example of different thicknesses. I had rulers, but it's hard to get a feel for something by sight alone, so I created this.

Now I have a fairly small set of thicknesses I can grab from my desk catchall and answer questions like "Is 3mm going to be too chunky for this case?"

The print uses one M3 20mm screw and an M3 nut, the fit will be tight... I suggest running the screw through the 5 swatches and backing it out before putting everything together.

Update: I've added a longer version for those without space issues, the STLs marked with Long have an added 40mm in length.

Update Update: Added .IGES file for anyone wanting to remix.

Print Settings

Printer:

Prusa i3 MK2.5S

Rafts:

No

**Supports:**

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

**Infill:**

30%

Filament: Inland PLA Grey and Orange

Notes:

The casing is designed to be printed on it's back without supports.

The first layer could be slowed to 50% for the swatches to help lay down the tiny holes well, checking Optimize Wall Printing Order in Cura will help with that too.

How I Designed This
