Like alpacas? Need a planter? You've come to the right place.

Enjoy this spacious planter, at maximum size the assembled model is 34cm tall, 24cm long, and 15cm wide.

Original design by reddit user disdrawt and their lowpoly post https://www.reddit.com/r/low_poly/comments/i2tcp5/alpaca_planter/

Print Settings

Printer:

Prusa i3 MK2.5S

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

**Supports:**

No

Resolution:

0.2

**Infill:**

30

Filament: Inland PLA PLA Gold

Notes:

Use the Lay Flat option in Cura or Prusa Slicr etc to lay the head flat on the chopped off part, this will let the head print supportless.

Print the torso flat belly down.

Print the feet feet down.

Up under the torso it could use a little bit of support, but if you're painting it should cover up any droopage.

Post-Printing

I roughed up the faces that need gluing with sandpaper and wiped them down with IPA to remove any oils.

I then glued the feet to the corresponding parts of the torso with a small amount of super glue. Make sure the FR, FL, RR, RL text on the feet is facing the side of the alpaca that the head is turned toward.

I then used some putty to fill the gap left where the head connects to the torso, sanded it down, then spray painted it multiple coats with a 2 in 1 white primer spray paint.

Afterwards I masked off the part of the face I wanted to be skin toned, mixed up a small batch of color and airbrushed it on. I followed this up with 2 coats of clearcoat then potted the plant.

How I Designed This

The original stl was designed by reddit user disdrawt, I took the file and cut the feet and head off in Blender, then I imported the files into Fusion 360, added the drainage hole and the registration marks along with the feet designations and exported it once again to .stl.
