I really liked the Gridfinity X-Acto Knife Holder, but found that it held my X-Acto Gripster very precariously. I took the STL into fusion and opened up the holder so it would allow the Gripster to go further in. While I was there, I decided to double the holder geometry, relocating (and shrinking) the bin to the front. I then replaced the base with the Gridfinity refined base design, as I think it's a superior design to the original Gridfinity base, and it allows this to be hard-mounted, which may be useful given the leverage the knives have on the base.

The pictured example was printed in Inland Translucent Grey PETG+ with 0.3mm layer height and 3 perimeters. The outer perimeter is 0.4mm and inner ones are 0.6mm, to add additional structural support without a large increase in print time.

One thing to note, the new opening has a taper which is narrower than the Gripster at the end, so if you push it in with force, it'll get stuck. This is to provide a secure fit for normal X-Acto handles as well, but it does mean that you just need to place the Gripster into the holder and let gravity do the rest. I've included the F3D file if you'd like to change this, or anything else about the design. It is parametrically converted from the STL, so there are a lot of facets…

Please leave a make if you print this and it works well for you!
