RAZR Wolverine Wired Xbox controller mount, taking an idea off of a similar (but incompatible) model on another 3d model site.
- Slightly too big for an official / off-brand Xbox controller, but this can be easily fixed by adding some foam or scaling the model in the slicer
- If the model needs to be scaled for any reason, start with the “test profile” STL - it takes only 20% of the time to print compared to the full model
- STEP file included in case modifications need to be made (e.g. for mounting)
Design is optimized for FRC robotics competition use on a driver's station - i.e.
- The controller is a very snug fit inside the holder to make sure the controller doesn't shift during transit to competition or to a match
- Thumb presses are included to make it easier to remove the controller from the mount
- Multiple mounting options on a 1" (25.4mm) hole pattern - designed for #10 thru bolts, tappable for ¼-20, or drill out for a 10-32 heat set insert
- Includes a slot for a hook & loop strap or zip tie to really secure the controller during transit, if desired
Print Settings
- Recommended PETG
- Can do PLA/PLA+ if that's all you have, but the part will be very stiff
- PETG is less likely to have issues after sitting in the back of a hot car / truck / trailer
- Can do either a 0.4mm or 0.6mm nozzle, but the part is strongest with a 0.6mm nozzle
- 0.4mm: 4 walls
- 0.6mm: 3 walls @0.8mm wall thickness
- 0.15mm - 0.2mm layer height
- Tree supports recommended for any angle over 30 degrees
- The ‘mouse ears’ on the model prevent the need for a brim - snip off with flat cutters or nail clippers
