Raspberry PI 5 case

Overall dimensions 205 x 94mm.

Box for raspberry PI 5 with USB 3.0 SSD 2.5" hard drive. An ideal solution as a low power NAS or Home Assistant, etc.  In the front part of the cover there is a vent for a fan with dimensions of 80 x 80 mm

The box consists of three parts that are either screwed or glued.

Fan cover

Ventilator cover for 80 x 80 mm fan. The fan cover can be glued in place. If the fan is to be replaced later, it can be removed and removed from the back without damage. A tolerance of 0 was used when designing the cover. Ideally, the print should hold without the use of glue.

The photo shows the logo of my home automation project. This logo is not in the STL files.

Case

Main case with ventilation holes.
On the bottom of the box there are holes for countersunk screws to attach a 2.5" drive.

I used - SATA to USB 3.0 reduction Raspberry Pi 5 can be switched to USB boot mode. No need to use an SD card.

Connector cover

Cover with platform for RaspberryPi 5. USB platform is for micro USB
reduction. I liked the possibility of disconnecting the USB without disassembling the box. Plus, the USB doesn't come out of the side.

VBUS and GND from reduction are fed to the power pins of the Raspberry Pi.
The front fan is connected to the power supply from the reducer via the DC jack connector. The fan is on 12V, but it is connected to 5V. Thanks to this, it has sufficient air flow for cooling and is almost silent. The fan always spins when connected to the power supply and does not depend on the raspberry.

For mounting the raspberry, the holes are prepared for M3 threaded inserts. Spacer posts are added to the inserts. In my solution I only used the back two screws.
