Ikea Skadis Embroidery Thread Holder

This is my first upload.

After reviewing the existing designs, I noticed that the Brother embroidery reels didn't fit as I would have liked. I printed a few test designs and made adjustments to address the issues I found.

I extended the base and added support to the bottom of the flared sections, which improved how the reels sit. Additionally, I ensured there was enough space between each reel when hung on the Ikea Skadis boards.

While this design uses slightly more material than some other published versions, it offers enhanced stability, particularly at the base. The improved bottom section ensures that the reels stay secure and in a more stable position.

This design also features a pre-cut slot, allowing the bottom hook to lock securely into the board.

I’ve found that I can fit four sets of 19 hooks/brackets on the larger 76x56cm Ikea Skadis.

These have been printed with four pieces per bed on my Ender 3 V2, but it’s possible to rearrange them to fit five.
