This is a fan bracket I designed for mounting a 80x80x15mm fan, in the Sovol SV08 replacing the noisy stock fan in your Sovol SV08.
Modification Requirements:
- Modify the aluminum cover by cutting an 80mmx80mm hole using the template.
- Drill four holes to secure the bracket from the outside.
- Use the included template to score the cutting area and locate mounting hole centers.
- If using the recommended fan, will require 4 additional PC case fan screws for mounting the bracket, screws and nuts for mounting the fan are included with the fan, other fans that use standard fan self tapping mounting screws wont work with the mount as it is and will require additional drilling to expand the fan mounting screws to 5mm
- The template can be repurposed as a trim cover for the surround of the fan giving it a clean fit and look
- Cutting a small slit in the mount to pass through the power cable will be needed, this can be done with a small bladed saw easily, as fan power cables vary, I did not model in a cutout.
Installation Details:
- Ensure all cables inside the enclosure are secured and do not interference with the fans operation.
- You'll need four additional self-tapping screws, along with the ones provided with the fan.
Fan Recommendation:
- Here is the fan I used for my installation from Amazon (Non-affiliate link): [80x80x15 Fan]
Creator Recommendation:
- I printed this in ABS, as this is in a enclosed area and located right next to the printers mainboard, PLA and PETG may potentially soften.
Disclaimer:
- Perform this modification at your own risk, please perform a pre install fitment test to assure the mount will properly fit on your printer, I take no responsibility for any damage caused by attempting this modification. If you are unsure if you're unable to perform the install please seek assistance from a skilled professional.
