Introducing the DJI Mic 2 Handle 2

but then I decided to improve it! 

New Features:

The DJI Mic 2 Handle 2 represents the finest and most sophisticated free DJI Mic Handle accessory currently available for free download. Here is what is new:

• The clip is no longer enclosed by the holder, making it much much easier to remove.
• The mic now sits a bit higher in its holder, which enables you to see the status LEDs and use the buttons.
• The body uses a slimmer profile which is a little more economic and can easily be printed with fuzzy skin just like the original.
• The handle is hollow. Actually specifically sized so that I could insert two generic 18650 cells that I found in my desk. This gives it a very nice weighted feel and it stands up easily on its own when set down on a flat surface.
• The base is designed to fit a 30mm by 2mm cylindrical magnet. This allows me to stick the mic holder to random ferromagnetic objects which is a pretty neat party trick that has impressed exactly one other person besides me. Maybe you will be the next!

If you don't have 18650 cells to spare, or don't want to buy this magnet, or generally hate the idea of having both, I have also included the “boring edition” so you can just print that one. It just makes the handle solid. Don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings.

Print Settings

Please do not use support material or a brim. I have already designed support material into the model itself. I found this was covering the best and most consistent results across different slicers and multiple versions of the same slicer. I spent at least a few minutes working on it so please give it a try. But if you really don't trust me, it's okay just go ahead and delete those bodies in your slicer and go your own way.

Design wish list

if you are so inclined to continue development of the DJI Mic 2 Holder 2 and create the DJI Mic 2 Holder 2 2.0, it would be rad to put a ¼-20 thread in the base for using it with other camera accessories like mini tripods.

Ground up redesign sharing very little in common with the original. The retention mechanism is the same since i really liked the concept
