Description

I designed this handle to fit this specific 0.8-10mm chuck from Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006997808237.html), using the hex adapter. It is very handy for cleaning up holes in prints, or drilling soft materials manually, and holds far better than any of the 3D printed chucks that I tried.

The hex adapter from Ali is 6.25mm in size. This dimension is quite critical, since you want the hex to have a snug fit inside the handle, otherwise it might wear out that hole. If your printer is tuned well for internal holes, 6.25mm hole should be fine, but I also included versions with 6.30 mm and 6.35 mm holes. If you are unsure which to use, print the fit test pieces so you don't waste material. You want the hole to be as tight as possible while still being able to hammer in the chuck, unless you plan to remove it.

I also added the CAD files (SolidWorks 2024 and STEP) so you can easily remix this model. Be aware that there is a little lock geometry near the bottom of the hole that matches the groove on the hex adapter.

If that Ali link stops working, find the chuck from other sellers with these keywords: Threaded Keyless Metal Drill Chuck 10mm. Attaching picture for reference. Make sure to choose the 10mm version with the hex adapter.

Print settings

PLA, PETG, ABS, any non-flex should work.
