This articulated keychain is a sleek and functional accessory designed for practicality, style, and a bit of fun. Measuring 100mm in length and 25mm in width, it features a flexible, articulated design composed of 8 interlocking links that allow for smooth movement while maintaining durability. Inspired by the need for a stronger alternative after my previous felt keychain ripped, this is also the first articulated model I have ever designed. Not only is it practical, but it’s also enjoyable to fidget with, offering a satisfying tactile experience. Perfect for everyday carry, it’s easy to print, requires no supports, and can be printed in any color to suit your personal style.
0.2mm layer height works well with 2 perimeters and 25% Rectilinear infill pattern.
For more strength and weight add 3 perimeters and 100% Rectilinear infill pattern.
Remove the part after the print sheet has cooled, then flex the sheet to release it.
I recommend using PLA for the optimal experience!
I used a holographic pattern carbon fibre PET printing plate to add some coolness to the bottom of the print. I recommend any metal key rings from 25mm in diameter and above which are available on Amazon.
