Previously I had a Sunlu S1 Drybox mounted to the rear of my J1, but recently I upgraded to the Snapmaker SnapDryer (aka Polymaker Polydryer) and were able to fit both the dryer itself with two storage boxes to the rear of the machine. This way you can print diretly from the dryboxes or if you have internal spool holders, you just have two dryboxes including the dryer hidden behind the printer to clean up the desk around the printer.

I am glad that Snapmaker and Polymaker did this collaboration, since I like the concept of the Polydryer, but really disliked the color scheme with the turquoise, since it does not match the clean aesthetic of many modern printers. With the SnapDryer you basically get the same filament dryer with a cleaner look.

Beside some 3D printed parts you only need 5* M3x8mm screws and an aluminum L-profile which is 40x20mm with a thickness of 2mm and a length of ~452mm. Optionally you can also add an on/off switch to the power cable or to an extension, since you can not really reach the switch on the dryer itself anymore. I used a switch with a diameter of 20mm.

You don't need to do any modifications to the printer itself, except replacing four of the M3 screws on the backpanel with the longer ones. The fifth screw is to clamp the center part of the bracket to the aluminum profile, so it can not slide around.

The mount is designed in a way so you can reach the dryer from the right side of the printer. If you only have access from the left, you can mirror all the parts.

I also attached step-files including the storage boxes and the dryer itself, so you can make adjustments, to use different aluminum profiles, a different on/off switch etc. The model of the dryer and boxes are not exact, but most of the important measurements should be close to reality.
