Description

PDF

This model is a 3D rendering of a classic symbol of class struggle in the 20th century that represents the worker-peasant alliance. It has a simplified silhouette but is still well-recognizable.

The model comes with a variant that allows mounting the object using an M16 nut, e.g. at the end of a threaded bar or a bolt. STEP file is also available if you want to adjust the mount for different hardware.

The model also prints well at 50% scale and 0.12mm layer height, and the mount then works with an M8 bolt.

Printing.

The attached .3mf files suggest printing options and plate layouts.

Option 1: Cut a solid model in half and glue together after printing (hamsick_solid.3mf). This is a great option if you don't want to print without supports, but it would leave a seam across the middle of the object.

Option 2: If the seam is undesirable, use the hamsick_parts.3mf file which splits the model into parts that are assembled with superglue. All parts are pre-oriented and print well with supports at 100% or 50% scale. You may want to decrease layer height. Note: during assembly, be careful with the orientation of the bottom of hammer handle so that it follows the curve of the sickle.
