Brother 1034D Serger Thread Catcher

Need a replacement for your Brother 1034D Serger's lost or broken thread catcher? 

Look no further. This design incorporates a sturdier retention tab than the original to keep the basket snug against the body of your serger, and even better, the tab is replaceable if it does ever fail.

I drew this model after my mother in law found a used 1034D at an estate sale that was in working condition but missing its thread catcher basket. Now, she has a fully functional machine.

The design comes as two separate models to provide maximum strength to the tab that gets lodged under the body of the serger to hold the thread catcher in place when it is in its proper position. Print “Brother 1034D Serger Thread Catcher Tab.stl” in the orientation received in the model file - on its side, so to speak, to make it strong enough to withstand regular use:

Press fit or glue the tab into the slot on “Brother 1034D Serger Thread Catcher Basket.stl” to complete the assembly.
