What:
It's a steering wheel knob to help a bit with maneuvering. Also, a cool fidget spinner if you get stuck in traffic.
Sport shooting is one of my hobbies, so I decided to create something resembling a revolver cylinder with the lowest, but still comfortable profile possible.
Why:
I got a simple one as a gift, but sadly it didn't meet my expectations - no bearing, high profile, and its bad look inspired me to make my own model that fits not only my car but also my character. I needed to turn these cons into pros, hence I present you a knob that is handy, actually spins, and looks much better.
Who:
It helps a lot if you have less than 2 fully functional hands.
I've been using this one for over 2 years, so I'm happy to say that it passed all tests.
How:
Print should withstand high temperatures in car interior, therefore I suggest printing it with PETG or something ABS-like. PLA is not recommended.
Only the knob needs a bit of support.
I suggest high infill, 70%+ to give it proper strength and weight.
Sand down top of the spinner to give it better look or leave layer lines for better grip.
BOM:
2x M5 nut OR 2x M5 threaded insert (6mm-10mm)
1x M5x45 bolt
1x M5x30 bolt
1x 608 bearing (22x8x7mm)
6x 9mm cases

PS. I still have no idea why these are called suicide knobs… any idea?
