I modeled this hotend assembly for X1/P1 OEM type units to serve as a reference when straightening out bent heatbreaks. Since the heatbreaks can bend easily from the plate lugs, chute jams, failed prints, and crashes, I don't want to replace the nozzle every time.
It's hard to eyeball what straight should be so I modeled this clone based on CAD drawings and measurements and included a crosshair on the tip which makes it easy to see which direction the hotend is bent.
When using it, check it from both sides before making a correction. If it's bent, it should be too high on one side, and when flipped, too low on the other. This is just a safety check in case there was a dimensionality issue when printing. On my print when it's straight it lines up perfectly with the crosshair.
