Have you ever wanted to create hydrogen and oxygen from plain water? Well, download this model and start making it right away! To assemble, first print all of the parts. Gather all of your materials and set everything aside except for the container, scouring balls, and wires. Twist one wire with one scouring ball, using a soldering iron if available. Do the same to the other ones. Do not connect the two scouring ball/wire together. Next, push the wires through the holes in the lid. Don't push the wires through the tube, push it through the hole without the tube. Now, holding the wires so they don't fall into the container, close the lid. Be sure to line up the ^s on the lid and container. If you are using a 9v battery, glue the battery holder to the side of the container, making sure the wires can reach the battery holder. Glue it on. You're almost done! Mix water with your choice of electrolytes (see #3), pour it into the container, and close the lid. Put the balloons on the tubes on the lid, and touch the wires to the battery. If you did everything correctly, the balloons should fill up with gas. One balloon should fill up faster than the other balloon. Glue the O near that tube. Glue the H onto the other one. The O is oxygen and the H is hydrogen. Now, you can do your experiments on the gasses.

#3. You should make your own electrolytes using salt, baking soda, sulfuric acid, sodium and nitrate. Just know that using salt will release toxic chlorine fumes, so again, do this experiment outside.
#4. A 9 volt battery is best for this experiment but some double or triple A batteries also work.
