This 3D-printed paint palette repurposes bottle caps for a second life. It’s ideal for Contrast paints and inks, which are not typically used on a wet palette. Built-in magnets keep the bottle caps secure and easy to swap.

Printing Variants

Inprint (For Advanced Users):
Magnets are inserted during the printing process into designated slots.
Slicer Pause Settings (at 0.2 mm layer height):

• Top-File: Pause at 4.60 mm
• Bottom-File: Pauses at 2.60 mm and 11.20 mm

Glued (Recommended for Beginners):
Magnets can be glued in after printing. This option is simpler and ideal for beginners.

Magnet Specifications

The design is optimized for 5 mm diameter magnets:

• 8x 5 mm x 2 mm magnets: Amazon link

Adjustment Notes:

Magnet dimensions can vary slightly. Please check the height and diameter before printing.

• Current design: 5.25 mm diameter for 5-mm magnets
• Typical tolerances: -0.4 mm to +0.2 mm
  Tip: Adjust the STEP files as needed for deviations.

Design Highlights

• Logo Inlay:
  The logo (0.4 mm height) is included as a separate feature in the .3mf files of the lid.
  • It can be highlighted by a filament change on the first two layers or multi-material printing.
