Isolation Enclosure for Polymaker Polydryer

A shell to clamp around the body, holding insulation-material in place, so the filament drier is more efficient and can be used at colder outside temperatures.

Test printed with pla - holds up fine but recommend PETG-CF for temp. resistance along with a ceramic fiber mat for insulation.

I used 5mm self threading screws to hold the shells together, along with a industrial hinge and clamp.

Uploaded “closed” files, where you can place holes for your furniture wherever you need to.

=> with the added weight of the insulation and enclosure it is enough to just lay the top on  actually.

assembly: (now updated with pictures)

See pic 1 for lid assembly, just clamp the original lid in between the 2 shells and snap in the humidity sensor.

For the bottom, place the ptfe tube adapter in the big bottom print (pic2), and snap the original see through lower over it.

When threading a 10mm ptfe fitting in from the outside, the tube adapter will slide into the preexisting hole of the original see through lower.

Insert insulation material (pic 3) and attach the bottom.
