Introduction

The Peggit system is a simple way to attach holders and organizers to your pegboard using simple automotive rivets.  The clip easily attaches to standard pegboard with 1" spacing using 15mm x 12mm x 6mm automotive push rivets.  Holders can be easily removed from the clip by pressing the two arms on the bottom of the clip, making it easy to move your holders around.

You will need a Peggit Clip for attaching this holder.  View the whole Peggit Collection.

Printing

Orient the holder upside down, so the side face is flat on the print bed.  You can use standard 0.2mm layer height and PLA works just fine.  No supports are needed.  Just print out a Peggit clip (see link above) and a left and right bracket and you're good.

Assembly

For a complete rack, you need one left, one right, and some spacers.  You can use as many spacers as you want and they can be added later (since they just snap in place).  See below for the size of rods to use.

NOTE: The holes for the linear rod are slightly larger on the left-hand side.  This means you can tightly press the rod into the right side, the slide the assembly into the other side when you put it all together.  But the hole sizes for left and right are slightly different to aid in assembly.

Tips and Tricks

If you're testing out an arrangement of holders, you can install the rivets, but remove the center pins.  This will allow you to loosely attach the holders and see how everything will fit before securing them to the pegboard.  Simply find the right spot, press the tabs on the arms and remove the holder, then add the pins and replace the holder.

Instead of using the pins that come with the push rivets, you can use a ¾" 8-32 (or M4 16mm) flat head machine screw (see the materials section below).  These screw and unscrew easily making it easier to relocate holders.

Materials

Below is a list of what you will need to assemble everything as intended.  Of course you can substitute what you want, but the list below is what worked for me.

Design Notes

I really want to see what other holders people come up with!  The STEP files are included for both the clip and the ‘receiver’.  This is the mating part that all the holders have modeled into them.  The ‘receiver’ just needs a 27.5mm H x 75mm W x 7.5mm D pocket.  Just design a holder with that pocket and mate it with the receiver, so it works with all the clips.
