Introduction

The Peggit system is a simple way to attach holders and organizers to your pegboard using simple automotive rivets. The clip easily attaches to standard pegboard with 1\" spacing using 15mm x 12mm x 6mm automotive push rivets. Holders can be easily removed from the clip by pressing the two arms on the bottom of the clip, making it easy to move your holders around.

Printing

Orient the holder upside down, so the top face is flat on the print bed. You can use standard 0.2mm layer height and PLA works just fine. No supports are needed. Just print out a Peggit clip (see link above) and one holder and you're good to go!

Size Variants

There are three separate sizes. Choose the one(s) based on the thickness or width of your pliers. Each variant holds either 5, 6, or 7 pliers, check the spacings below.

\u20185\u2019 - 21mm wide slots
\u20186\u2019 - 17mm wide slots
\u20187\u2019 - 13mm wide slots

The \u20185\u2019 variant is good for thicker grip pliers like the Gearwench Mini Pliers Set. The \u20186\u2019 version is good for flush cutters or medium thickness pliers. The \u20187\u2019 variant is good for very thin pliers like those used for jewelry making.

Tips and Tricks

If you're testing out an arrangement of holders, you can install the rivets, but remove the center pins. This will allow you to loosely attach the holders and see how everything will fit before securing them to the pegboard. Simply find the right spot, press the tabs on the arms and remove the holder, then add the pins and replace the holder.

Instead of using the pins that come with the push rivets, you can use a \u00be\" 8-32 (or M4 16mm) flat head machine screw (see the materials section below). These screw and unscrew easily making it easier to relocate holders.

Below is a list of what you will need to assemble everything as intended. Of course you can substitute what you want, but the list below is what worked for me.

Push Rivets - 15x12x6mm (two per clip)
8-32 \u00be\" Flat Head Screw - (for securing the rivets in place of the center pin)

Design Notes

I really want to see what other holders people come up with! The STEP files are included for both the clip and the \u2018receiver\u2019. This is the mating part that all the holders have modeled into them. The \u2018receiver\u2019 just needs a 27.5mm H x 75mm W x 7.5mm D pocket. Just design a holder with that pocket and mate it with the receiver, so it works with all the clips.
