This display is made up of 2x3 parts, with mirrored components. Because of this mirroring, the screws may not turn in the 'standard' direction.
The STEP file is also available, allowing you to adjust the measurements as needed.
The parts are printed in PETG for added strength, but the screw's placement is critical for proper function.
You'll need an extra soft material, 3mm thick, to place between the bike tube and the 3D print. This helps ensure a secure fit and proper positioning.
To achieve a perfect fit, use a 3mm draught strip between the bike tube and the 3D print. This will keep the display securely in place. Alternatively, you can use other foam-like materials or even create your own TPU print for the same purpose. It's still a cost-effective solution compared to buying new Shimano holders for €45!
For optimal strength, the screw should be printed at a 45-degree angle with tree supports. After printing, you may need to sand the surface for it to fit properly. Printing at a different angle may cause the screw to break.
