Fog Light Cover for 2018 Ford EcoSport – 3D Printed

I designed and 3D printed a custom fog light cover for a 2018 Ford EcoSport. This project was made using my Prusa MK4S printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle and Prusament PLA Blend filament, chosen for its durability and professional appearance.

Printing Parameters:

• Nozzle: 0.4 mm
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 20% grid for a balance between strength and lightness
• Print speed: 50 mm/s to ensure precision in the details
• Supports: Enabled only where necessary for easy removal without compromising surface quality
• Bed adhesion: Used hairspray to improve stability during printing
• Extruder temperature: 215°C
• Bed temperature: 60°C

Post-Processing:

After printing, the cover was finished to remove any support marks and enhance the overall aesthetics. I used light sanding and a protective clear spray coating to improve durability.

This project demonstrates how 3D printing can be used to create functional, custom parts tailored to specific needs while maintaining the original vehicle's aesthetic.
