This is my approach to creating a HEPA filter for the Creality K2 Plus
It uses an IKEA UPPÅTVIND air filter, cut in half with a utility knife. The setup is very budget-friendly, costing less than $5.

I chose a large filter to ensure good airflow. In testing during a 4-hour print, the chamber's air temperature only increased by 1.5°C, so you don't need to worry about clogs when printing with PLA or PETG.

The filter replaces the included grille but still allows you to keep the activated carbon filter that comes with the printer. After several test prints, I noticed no downsides—just a noticeable reduction in PLA smell!

The top tab is secured to the back of the printer chamber using 3M aluminum foil tape, which is heat-resistant and reliable.

For best results, use PETG filament and a layer height of 0.4mm or smaller. The included model fits the left air vent; for the right vent, simply mirror the model vertically in your slicer.

I hope you find this useful, and I’d love to hear your feedback! 😊
