This model could share some of it's looks with another great wall mount. Some of their ideas I used in my design. Although I drew every line myself.
There is one problem I have with mounting a gaming console of over 3kg's on my wall. I want to be as sure as possible it won't fall down due to heat or plastic failure.
That's the reason this model is based around the use of metal brackets. And why I redesigned the first version because it was flexing somewhat.
Please note my creation weighs in over 200 grams with 5 walls, 5 roofs and 5 floors and 30% infill.
This model could stil do with a few adjustments:
These to design flaws are not major enough to make me remodel it. Cooling seems fine and the mount and PS5 are hidden behind my TV anyway.
I am happy with the fact the console is hidden and takes up no space, since my TV sits on it's stand. It is super sturdy because of the metal brackets and the use of a M3 screw. I used a screw you can buy for 230V power outlets. I had to grind it down a few mm's.
Should you not want the pocket for the game drive, simply cut the model in your slicer.
I've included the files of the first model to give an idea why I've created the second.
The corner brackets are available at (Dutch) discounter Action. (last picture)
