Not actually a functionally necessary part. You can totally live without one, but it was a nice little 3D design training project. 
Printed mine in PLA, 0.6mm nozzle 0.2mm layers. Fits snug and secure. Wife loves it, which is important for the WAF of my 3D-printing hobby ;)
