I was able to build mine for $10.46 because I had lots of used parts laying around from various projects. However, the parts list below shows everything needed. All I needed was the display, dc-dc converter board, and the potentiometers. The switch controls the main 12v power from the power adapter, which powers the dc-dc converter board and fan when switched on. The dc-dc converter board uses small potentiometers, so I desoldered them and replaced them with large ones that could be mounted off the board. The left potentiometer is voltage control and right is amp control, as seen here. The display is wired like this, except that I powered the display on the input side of the dc-dc converter board. And that's it! Enjoy!
