Amtrak P42 Genisis for O Gauge compatible with OS Railway

This is a functional and fully 3d printable model of the light Diesel locomotive P42 Genisis with Amtrak - like Paint Scheme.

The model can run on o Gauge tracks and is compatible with the OS Railway System (Track width = 32mm). The OS Railway tracks, designed by depronized, can be ound by following the link:

The model can be controlled via Wifi and uses the ESP 32 MCU Node. You can find the Arduino projet code in the Motor_Control_ESP32.zip folder. Online and on youtube you can find many tutorials how to setup the Arduino development environment and how to use ESP32 with this. Most times there cant be choosen the right ESP32 board. The project works with the ESP32 node MCU, if you select the ESP32 Development Board.

The gears and parts are all 3d printed.

As additional parts you will need:
- ESP 32 Node MCU
- M3 self tapping screws
- M3 machine screws
- M2.5 machine screws (assembling the motor and gearbox)
- 28mm Diameter DC Motor (Ebay or Amazon) (12V)
- L298N Motor driver board
- Roulade Needels (Bearings for the Wheelsets)
- kitchen rubbers (for more traction on the tracks)
- battery holder for 8 AA batterues (12V)

Until the 23.12.2024 a construction manual will be added for assembly and electronics!
