I will publish all the print-in-place design principles that I have developed over the last few years under a Creative Commons licence. This will not include the dinosaur models, only the joints as separate files.
Hello Dinophiles!
2026 is righ
This one was very simple. No frills, a few gimmicks with the lateral position to get the joints all in the right position and that's it. So that it doesn't get too bland, I've added movable legs. As with all my models where it makes sense, it is designed on a scale of 1:100. It therefore fits all my dinosaurs except Dimetrodon and Pterodactylus.
To keep things interesting I want to play with it a bit over the next few evenings because the plan from the start was to integrate a whistle into the head, but Christmas is just around the corner and you all want to print the new member of the herd, don't you? And let's be honest: do we really want the kids to have a new dinosaur with a built-in whistle to play with over the holidays and drive us crazy with it? You're welcome.
I will post updates on the model in the next few days if the whistle works. Maybe I'll also add movable front legs, who knows. I'll definitely give it a try, it all depends on what comes out of it.
That's it for now, Merry Christmas and have fun printing!
Edit 21. 12. 2024: It works now and I've just uploaded the whistle files!
Edit 22. 5. 2025: Added a 50% scale version without hinge for the legs.
Edit 12. 11. 2025: Improved the legs
Thanks to my Club Member @nikoraasu for giving it its name! If you also want to name one of my future models make sure to become a club member!
I can't stress this enough, so I'm going to write it down here: FlexiDinos are in no way suitable for small children. Parts can break off and leave sharp edges, so make sure your children are old enough to know what they're doing before letting them play with FlexiDinos!
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
