This model is the original enclosure for Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition optimized for 3D printing.
It's based on the official injection-molded parts but with some adaptation to avoid many supports :
- Home Assistant logo on the bottom enclosure is removed
- 3D screw threads instead of threaded inserts for the top enclosure
- Flat wheek
- Flat button
Before printing it, read the assembling/reassembling procedure on Home Assistant documentation website to avoid breaking parts of your device :
You will also need to bring some parts from the original device :
- The PCB
- The speaker
- All the screws
- The rubber pads for the bottom enclosure
- The rubber lug for the button
You have multiple way to customize the device with different level of difficulties:
- Easy : replace only the top enclosure. You will not need to disassemble the PCB.
- Intermediate : replace the top enclosure, the bottom enclosure and the button.
- Hard : replace all the plastics part. You will need to full diassemble to device and unclip the wheel for the PCB
Here's the recommended settings to print the parts:
- Top wheel: 0.12mm layer height, no support
- Top button: 0.12mm layer height, no support
- Mic switch: 0.12mm layer height, no support
- Bottom enclosure: 0.20mm layout height, support enabled
- Top enclosure: 0.20 layout height, no support
